We have a large group of children and youth (age three to grade eight) in our Sunday school. Over 100 children and youth participate. Our teachers are volunteers who love kids and Jesus. They teach in teams of two or more and are carefully screened before they begin their service. We have a Safe Sanctuaries policy that assures all our children and youth are in a safe and secure setting. There is a different group of teachers for the 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM Sunday schools. The program is led by our Director of Christian Education, Heather Wolfe.
Our goal is to partner with parents to offer great spiritual programs for your children in order to help them have a closer relationship with God and a solid understanding of biblical teachings. Having fun at church and having a sense of belonging to the larger community of the congregation strengthens our children's sense of the church as a place they want to be. Our children begin the morning with their parents in worship. Pastor John engages them with a special message. After this time, they leave with their teachers for their classes. Infants and toddlers are cared for in our church nursery by a paid staff person and volunteers.
In the summer, we offer classes during our 10 AM service. We have Vacation Bible School for one week in July. Children age 4 to grade 6 enjoy a week of Bible stories, crafts, games, song and fun! This year we ended our week with an afternoon frolick on a giant water slide.

Our children are offered many opportunities to serve others including an annual collection for UNICEF, our neighborhood Food Pantry, our local Baby Center, and Heifer Project International.
