Where do people in our world find community?
In days past, we knew our next door neighbors and joined a variety of community organizations. In today’s highly mobile and electronic world, however, we often do not know who lives next door and we spend much of our free time connecting with each other on the internet. At
Osterville Church, we think that, as remarkable as our electronic communication systems are, there is still a great need for “people-to-people” contact. We need to connect to one another “face-to-face”.

Worship is, first and foremost, a weekly gathering of our community. It is a chance to connect “face-to-face” with your neighbors! As an inter-generational community, we gain wisdom from our elders and energy from our children and youth. Worship, however, is not just a connecting of people, but a connection to God. In our worship services, we seek inspiration through the presence of God’s Spirit, we gather to pray for the many needs of our community and the world, Pastor John seeks to challenge us to grow closer to God through his weekly messages and we also try to provide an opportunity for reflection so that what we see and hear on Sunday morning might enable us to live a more meaningful life Monday through Saturday. Finally, music is an essential ingredient of worship. How wonderful it is to be moved by beautiful and inspirational music!

For those who have never visited with us, we look forward to welcoming you! There is convenient visitor parking available right outside the doors of our church. Please take a moment to introduce yourself to those who will greet you at the door and to Pastor John following the service. We look forward to having you join our community!
