Community Partners
On this page you will find information about our community partners with a link to their web sites.
The Cape Cod Council of Churches was established in 1956 by Protestant Clergy as an ecumenical organization, and is a 501 c 3 tax-exempt organization. Board of directors membership and faith community partnerships have expanded to include Roman Catholic clergy and lay workers. This broad representation allows the Council to reach out to all faith communities, including Jewish congregations who are involved in the Council’s interfaith efforts.
Last year, the Council’s ministries touched the lives of over 3,800 Cape and Islands residents through its ministries which are offered without regard for religious affiliation, or lack thereof: A Baby Center; Bridge to Hope Mentoring Prison Project; Covenant to Care for Foster Families; Chaplains at RHCI, Cape Cod Hospital, Barnstable County Correctional Facility; Hands of Hope Outreach Center; Overnights of Hospitality Case Management Services, and the Street Outreach Project.
Throughout the year, the Council offers ecumenical and interfaith worship services including the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Service of Remembrance; the Multi Cultural Interfaith Worship Service; Evening of Prayer for Christian Unity. Clergy convocations and In-Gatherings of the Faith Community are convened when topics of concern are identified.

Big Brothers, Big Sisters: Who brought magic into your life just by being there? Who do you always remember with a smile? maybe it was someone who always encouraged you, cheered you on or made you laugh. Or maybe it was simply someone who included you in everyday activities which made them more fun for you both.
As a Big Brother or Big sister, you're simply a friend who brings a little magic into the life of a deserving child. As a "Big," you get to see the world through the fresh eyes of your "Little." You don't have to be perfect; you just have to be yourself. No matter where you are in life right now, being a Big will make life more rewarding and undeniable more enjoyable!
Our Cape Cod and Islands program addresses the distinct characteristics of a coastal community. In conjunction with our volunteer opportunities, we also feature a local calendar that includes social events for Bigs and Littles and fundraising activities in addition to those offered in the greater Boston area. We are always grateful for the contributions our supporters make, whether as volunteers or in helping present the story to potential volunteers through pro-bono technical or professional assistance. Contact the CCI office directly at 508-771-5150 or visit us at 1934 Falmouth Road, Centerville for more information.

CHAMP Homes was founded in 1991 by Paul and Carolyn Hebert to provide and maintain a safe, therapeutic and nurturing family-type environment for homeless youth and adults. Over the past 19 years, with no federal or state contracts, CHAMP Homeshas grown from one home to four homes, helped over 1,400 individuals and currently provides housing to 45 residents, aged 18 to 71. Many of the residents are at-risk individuals who suffer from mental, physical and emotional disabilities or are recovering from addiction, and have never experienced a loving family environment. We are sustained by your generosity, CHAMP resident community fees, special fundraising events and the support of foundations. Please feel free to come visit us at our School Street campus in Hyannis, where you can enjoy the Community Solar Pavilion, our organic vegetable and flower gardens, the Thomas Wallace Memorial Prayer Room, the Cape Cod Five Learning Center and the Eden Café.
