A Reconciling Congregation
The United Methodist Church in Osterville has been a reconciling congregation for many years. What is a “Reconciling Congregation”? Reconciling congregations are United Methodist Churches which publicly welcome all persons, regardless of sexual orientation, to participate fully in the life of their community. Our statement of reconciliation says: All persons are recipients of God’s love and grace. We share a faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment in Christianity and this is our bond. In the spirit of God’s love and witnessing Jesus Christ’s life in action, our church welcomes all peoples. We acknowledge the diversity of God’s universe and open our hearts as Christ loved all his children. We hope you will visit us and experience the warmth of our welcoming community.
